cannot find record icon and where to set record path

Q:I cannot find record icon and where to set record path, why?< In current software, record function is controlled by activeX, only use Internet Explorer can use record function. If you use firefox, google chrome or safari, it is impossible to record. Also, there is no record icon and place to change record path in the UI.
